Anil Thadani - Chairman
Anil oversees all aspects of Symphony’s investments. He has worked in Asia since 1975 and has been involved in Asian private equity since 1981 through Arral & Partners, which he co-founded and which was one of the first privately owned private equity investment companies in Asia, and subsequently, Schroder Capital Partners.
Before entering private equity, Anil worked for Bank of America in the United States, Japan, the Philippines and Hong Kong. He serves on the boards of several companies and is also a member of the board of trustees of the Singapore Management University and a member of the investment committee responsible for overseeing its endowment fund.
Anil has a B Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, an M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.
